What is MurderXFile?
MurderXFile is a premium online murder mystery experience built around evidence, suspects, secrets and deduction. You investigate the case, unlock new stages and decide what really happened.
How do the investigations work?
Each case is divided into stages. You examine evidence, compare suspect accounts and solve case checks to unlock the next part of the investigation.
Do I need to download anything?
No. MurderXFile investigations are designed to be played online through your web browser.
Can I play on my own?
Yes. MurderXFile is designed to work as a solo investigation, although you can also work through a case with other people if you prefer.
Can I stop and continue later?
Yes. Your investigation progress is saved to your MurderXFile account so you can return later and continue from where you left off.
Is MurderXFile a party game?
No. MurderXFile focuses on evidence-led investigation and deduction rather than party-game roles, costumes or random guessing.
What devices can I use?
MurderXFile works in modern desktop, tablet and mobile browsers. For detailed evidence review, a larger screen may provide the best experience.
